Emi Takada - I’m All Smiles
O's Notes: Japanese vocalist and producer Emi Takada gets support from her trio featuring pianist Bob Henschen, bassist Aric Nitzberg and drummer Tim Solook. I'm All Smiles is her debut recording reflecting her sentiment now living in Houston. Emi uses music as the universal communications vehicle putting her unique style and accent into each of the ten classics. "Do Nothing Till You Hear From Me", "Night and Day" and "Agua de Beber" sung in Portuguese, take on new, different lives under Takada's direction while the instrumentation stays true to the originals.
